Mountain landscape - a genre that requires from the photographer not only the right hand and eye of the artist, but also strong legs and a strong back: whoever sits in an office will never understand the beauty of the mountains. That is why, in search of new shots, photographers are ready to go to the end of the world … Or, rather, to its roof, as our compatriot does Anton Yankova, the author of great mountain landscapes from the Himalayas themselves.
Anton Yankova, by his own admission, began to seriously engage in photography not so long ago - 8 years ago. Much earlier, in deep childhood, his love for the mountains began. And especially to the mystical Nepal, the place where the sky is closest to the earth - and maybe that's why Buddha Gautama was born here. These two hobbies led to the fact that the mountain landscape became the work of Anton's life.
Recently, the photographer has spent much more time in Nepal than even at home - and at the same time not only comprehends the harmony of the Universe, but also, just like a bodhisattva, helps others to become familiar with the beauty of the mountains. Anton Yankova leads excursions-photo tours in the Himalayas: a kind of caravans of hunters for wonderful photographs. True, the guide himself, according to him, returns with a very poor catch: most of the time is spent on advice to beginners in the mountain landscape, on organization and, of course, on stories about the sights and wonders of Nepal.
On the other hand, in solo travels, Anton completely plays out. Going on a hike for landscapes and the smell of snow, he grabs a Canon digital camera with a set of lenses, a weighty tripod, a lot of light filters and other things a photographer needs on the way. Considering that the climber counts every kilogram, then this is a real feat.
As for light filters, Anton Yankova uses them so masterly that he creates mountain landscapes in any weather - under the bright sun or dark at night. The photographer is especially successful at night photos with the tracks of stars: with a long exposure, which allows you to capture mountains in the dark, the paths of heavenly bodies turn into bright lines in the sky. Then the mountain sky becomes similar to the painting by Vincent Van Gogh "Starry Night" and at the same time - to the "nimbus of mountains" by Nicholas Roerich, beloved by Yankov.
