The basis of the exposition is more than 130 works of masters of Russian photography, winners of the World Press Photo competition. The exhibition will bring together many famous Russian photographers. At the opening, as well as during creative meetings and master classes, it will be possible to meet with Viktor Akhlomov, Yuri Abramochkin, Sergei Vasiliev, Vladimir Vyatkin, Viktor Zagumyonnov, Victoria Ivleva, Wilhelm Mikhailovsky and other laureates. The heroes of the photographs were also invited - prominent public and political figures of Russia, representatives of culture and art, cosmonauts, famous scientists and athletes.
The exhibition will include a presentation of a unique photographic album "RUSSIAN GRAND PRIX", published by the RUSS PRESS PHOTO Cultural Project with the direct support of Gazprom Export. special prizes - a total of 450 works with author's comments to the photographs, with information about the authors and the competition. The album gives a complete picture of the participation of photojournalists of the USSR and Russia in the competition and in the jury of World Press Photo. In this edition, many works are presented for the first time to the viewer's judgment in the author's edition. In addition to its undoubted artistic value, the album will also have encyclopedic value, since for the first time it will cover all national laureates of the World Press Photo competition in a single edition. You can buy a photo album directly at the exhibition. The social and cultural significance of the project can hardly be overestimated. The photographs capture the main events and faces of our country over the past half century: the first spacewalk, high-profile victories of athletes, portraits of prominent compatriots.
