It's no secret that many artists, sculptors and designers, to put it mildly, are not themselves. But few have the courage to admit to themselves and others that something is wrong with them. American artist Amy Casey is obsessed with phobias, and honestly admits in public that she prefers to live in her fictional world than in the gray everyday life of harsh reality. Therefore, her paintings are very specific.
Despite the fact that Amy does not care what happens in the real world, since she has her own, she cannot bring herself to completely abandon the present in favor of the fictional. No, no, but fear for humanity wakes up in her - her phobias make themselves felt. It was they, or rather, the fear of earthquakes, floods and other cataclysms, that inspired the artist to create a huge collection of unusual paintings.
Twisted figures of people, buses and cars, curved highways, incomprehensible debris, fragments and scraps - and above all of this, like balloons huddled in flocks, disproportionate houses soar high in the sky, entwined with threads, like cobwebs. They would, perhaps, be glad to fly away - but these numerous fetters are not allowed to float freely. And at the same time they save from all the troubles that the author of the paintings is so afraid of that they turn her dreams into nightmares.
But even in spite of all these creative troubles, Amy Casey is quite a popular artist. Her exhibitions are held in major galleries in the United States and Europe, such as Zg Gallery in Chicago, Michael Rosenthal Gallery in San Francisco and POV Evolving gallery in Los Angeles. And the girl also has a very nice website designed in her unique style. There you can see all the works of the artist, among which there are not only houses hanging by strings, but also other interesting things.

Girl draws giant birds on city walls around the world - realistic and fantastically colorful graffiti
Artist Fio Silva from Argentina is only 29 years old, but she has already managed to become famous not only in her homeland, but also abroad. After all, with her creativity, she makes the urban space not so dull and gray. The girl paints buildings, fences and other surfaces on the streets with monumental graffiti depicting wildlife. Her drawings are just incredible! Agree, there is nothing more "refreshing" and uplifting than stumbling upon a colorful mural, wandering through boring and mono
Icicles on strings or designer glass decorations
Glassware - a variety of small figurines, vases, ornaments - is one of the finest and most fragile art forms. Glass masterpieces, in particular the unusual glass jewelry, are admirable, although they are extremely easy and simple to break. But still, when you see such beauty, you cannot resist the temptation to try on glass necklaces that elegantly frame the neck, rings and bracelets that give our hands a regal and majestic look
Soul strings of Alexander Marshal: What the famous rock musician is silent about
Once he preferred music to a military career and reached real heights: the Gorky Park group, in which he performed, became famous all over the world, and all its members became idols of a whole generation. They were met at the best venues in America and Europe, fans were ready to follow musicians around the world, but Alexander Marshal was looking for his true happiness for a long time. He does not like to talk about his personal life, too often he had to lose and start all over again
Country houses and small houses: painting by Ben Grasso
New Yorker Ben Grasso feels like an impostor in painting. But this is what makes him constantly keep his nose to the wind and his ears on the alert in order to catch new trends and keep up. In addition to abstract painting, the artist often draws houses and houses, which are definitely not in the metropolis, so he has accumulated a whole art-village with buildings for every taste. His wards (or experimental?) Houses are reflected in the water, fly, climb trees and crumble into small planks
On the taut strings. 3D sculptures from the String Mirrors series
Hundreds of elastic, stretched strings, put together, can create amazing and amazingly realistic images: portraits of people, their faces, hands, eyes … South Korean artist Hong Sung Chul has long been involved in this art: a talented author creates layered compositions, pulling strings painted in a special way between two platforms, and as a result of these operations, a three-dimensional image is obtained, which changes depending on the angle at which it is viewed
