Imagine a beautiful and luxurious mansion with 23 rooms, including 10 bedrooms, several living rooms, two staircases, and even half for servants. But a man who has been building his dream house for 15 years has never entered it, and all because this house is not real, but a dollhouse.
Miniaturist Peter Riches, 64, is planning to take a cruise after receiving an offer from a Canadian collector to sell his masterpiece for £ 50,000.
In the dollhouse, everything is handmade, even the miniature pool table in the playroom, or the piano, as well as a wonderful library of 1000 tiny books, each of which is bound by hand. A magnifying glass was used for the smallest details. The house itself is made of 32,000 bricks and 5,000 roof tiles made of cardboard.
Peter Riches has spent an average of eight hours every day since 1994, giving the project all his love. As soon as his day at a construction firm, where he was busy building houses, ended, he returned home and continued to work on creating a miniature model of his dream mansion. But after Peter retired, leaving his business to his sons, he devoted himself entirely to the realization of his dream - the completion of the construction of the dollhouse. The only reason the miniaturist decided to sell the puppet mansion was a banal lack of space. The house is complete, and he wants to build another, but in order to expand the construction of the next doll house, space must be cleared.
The project took many years of his life from Peter Riches, and the money that the amateur artist will receive from the sale of his luxurious dollhouse, he will spend on a cruise to Niagara Falls, Victoria Falls and the Grand Canyon - three attractions that he promised himself a long time ago. …
