When people are going to go somewhere to "see the world", they, of course, mean not only their attempts to eat the dishes of someone else's cuisine and live in a foreign land for some time and, probably, not even viewing the local beauties of nature, coupled with monuments architecture. They talk about people who live in other countries, because it is impossible to understand the culture and traditions of another country without looking "how it is life there, in a foreign land", and most importantly, without knowing who actually lives there.
The photographer was born in 1964 in France, he loved to travel since childhood (when he was only ten years old, he already managed to visit 4 countries of the world). In 2002, Eric bought a camera and just fell in love with photography, he learned to be a photographer and shot literally everything. With such passion, it is not surprising that his career quickly took off.
While the countries of the East became Eric's target, he was in China, Japan, Korea, as well as in Pakistan, India and many other countries, the customs of which seem very, very exotic to Europeans. The cute and lively faces looking at us from photographs break many of the prejudices associated with certain nations. It is a pity that the photographer has not yet reached Russia, because here he would almost certainly have found a lot of interesting (excuse the expression) “material” for his works.
As a professional photographer, Eric Lafforgue has been traveling for over five years, he has traveled a good half of the world and collected a huge collection of memorable photographs. The photographer manages to recreate portraits of entire nationalities through the expressions on the faces of ordinary people: their looks, smiles, traditional clothes, gestures. But the most important thing in his photographs is some special sense of self-awareness of each, specific nation, with which the master's photographs simply gleam.
This French photographer Eric Lafforgue, who works for the BBC, as well as The National Geographic, Geo, Around the World and many other themed publications, seems ready to travel the world to compose his "portrait "In faces.
On Eric's website, you can see many of his works from all over the world. You can also find Eric Lafforgue's profile on Facebook.

Quiet world. Silent World Photo Project by Lucie & Simon
There is nothing more terrifying than watching the quiet, absolutely deserted streets of large, densely populated metropolitan areas. But photographers from the duo Lucie & Simon managed to capture the noisy squares, streets and alleys of megacities quiet, deserted and lonely.
