Famous British artist Slinkachu presented three new works as part of a charity project 20 Years of War Child … Slinkachu previously had to photograph tiny figures of people - but now this is not just a joke: the heroes of his new works are defenseless children who have fallen into the heat of war.
20 Years of War Child - a special art exhibition timed to coincide with the twentieth anniversary of the charitable mission, which deals with the problems of protecting children living in areas where hostilities are taking place. Slinkachu's works are executed in his trademark playful style, but they do not overstep the bounds of what is permissible: the topic does not become less painful just because the tent of doctors here is represented by a banana skin, and the tank is an ordinary grape snail.
Slinkachu's work is already well known to regular readers of Kulturologia.ru. They may recall his extravagant snail graffiti (project Inner city snail), as well as branded installations with tiny men … In his new works, the artist puts his signature techniques at the service of charity. “I was happy to create works that draw attention to the tragedy of the dumb war victims - children. In my works I constantly talk about those inhabitants of modern society who are usually not heard or seen, who are forgotten and who are ignored, so participation in this project it was a completely logical step for me, explains Slinkachu himself.
