Many amateur photographers, even with several decades of experience, cannot go into the category professional photographers … And the Nigerian Onafujiri Remet managed to do this, having only three years offspring. Born in 2010 in Lagos, Onafujiri Remet began taking photographs before he spoke. And by his three years he had become a very popular figure in the city, and indeed among photographers.
After all, the photographs taken by this three-year-old Nigerian boy amaze everyone with their simplicity, brevity and angle of view.
The jokers call the photographs of Onafujiri Remet (his creative pseudonym sounds like Fuji, Fuji) "knee shots", hinting at the short stature and small age of the author. But it is this factor that makes these works unique.
Fuji's camera captures scenes from the life of ordinary residents of Lagos - poverty, misery, but endless optimism that reigns on the streets of the capital of Nigeria. And, of course, the family is an important topic in this work - the boy takes pictures of his relatives, including his older sisters, dressed in traditional Nigerian clothes.
As mentioned above, the work of Onafujiri Remet is recognized not only within his family, but also in the photo community. And on June 8, 2013, the first solo exhibition of the young author even opened in one of the galleries in Lagos, which makes him the world's youngest professional photographer.
