These candles, perhaps, can be called small works of art, they look so elegant and original. Made in an unusual old technique, these multi-colored paraffin accessories will be a nice gift for friends, or a great addition to a cozy interior.
Artist Natalia Burikov from Israel creates these stunning decorative candles using original 16th century techniques. First, she places the blank for the future candle in a container with liquid colored paraffin, and then, without wasting time, begins to cut outlandish patterns using special tools.
Surprisingly, Natalia has only fifteen minutes at her disposal to complete work on a small wax masterpiece - if you do not meet this time, the paraffin will cool and harden, making further manipulations with it meaningless.
The finished candle reaches seventeen centimeters in height and weighs about seven hundred grams. Such candles burn for about eighty hours. Upon completion of the work, the artist covers them with a special acrylic varnish - this gives the product a shine and protects it from possible damage. Each candle in the collection of Natalia Burikov is original, with all the desire it is impossible to find two identical.
French Canadian artist Steven Spazuk found an original application for ordinary wax candles. Bringing the flame to the sheet, the artist begins to chaotically drive it over the paper, creating abstract forms. Subsequently, he finalizes drawing using special brushes and other tools.
