In recent years, the public carpool movement has become very popular around the world, implying the sharing of cars for travel to work or on vacation by previously unfamiliar people. It is also widespread in Mexico. True, for social reasons. A series of photographs is dedicated to him. Car poolers from Alejandro Cartagena.
It was several decades ago that people could use their own car without a twinge of conscience when traveling to work. There were not so many cars themselves, and gasoline cost mere pennies. Now the prices for oil products have increased several times over several years, the roads cannot cope with the constantly increasing load, and because of the exhaust of cars on the streets there is nothing to breathe.
It is for these reasons that the carpool movement (or fellow travelers) began to spread around the world. People from the same area are joining forces on the way to work and home, dumping money for gas. It is both cheaper and more environmentally friendly than driving each one in his own car.
This movement is especially popular, first of all, in the developed countries of the world. But it also exists in Mexico. True, it is widespread there, mainly due to the poverty of the local population, the underdevelopment of public transport and large-scale urbanization, which the infrastructure cannot keep up with.
In his Car Poolers series, Alejandro Cartagena presents a bird's eye view of ordinary Mexicans who get to work or home in every possible way. They are ready to ride for long periods in the cabins of trucks and pickups, open to rain and wind. And the point here is not so much a desire to save money, and certainly not at all in an effort to reduce the harm caused by exhaust gases to nature. They simply have no other choice - this method of travel is often the only possible one in this country.

Dynamo car: original car advertisement
Attempts to attribute human feelings to inanimate objects are always interesting. The authors of the original ad tried to play out a real tragedy in the space of a creative poster. In the previous episode of our "Soap Messenger" there was a nasty anecdote about the dental family. This time, the story is even more heartbreaking - the suffering of a young gas station, which is constantly dynamited by his beloved car

Photographer Nicolai Howalt from Holland does not photograph landscapes and portraits, not flowers and cities, not animals or natural phenomena. His photograph is as cruel as reality itself. This is especially true of the Car Crash Studies project, which will be discussed today. Car, road, speed, collision
Macro photo of Alejandro Ferrer Ruiz: ladybugs soaked in the rain
How often a person does not stand the test and gives up. It seems to him that the burden placed on him is beyond his shoulder, and the difficulties that have fallen out are too heavy to cope with. Perhaps this is so. Perhaps life is not as easy as we would like. But, if you look back, there are many examples in the world of how the most fragile-looking creatures can easily cope with problems, and the obstacles themselves turn into high art. An example is ladybugs in the rain
