The art of paper rolling, or quilling- this is exactly what European nuns were doing in the 14-15th century, whiling away their days in their cells. By wrapping strips of tissue paper around the tip of a bird's feather, they created striking jewelry and mementos. Today, the quilling technique is also very popular and in demand. An example of this is paper masterpieces from the author under a pseudonym Iron-maiden art … Iron-Maiden Art is not a group of famous designers from abroad. And the girl, who calls herself Kathleen, lives in Ukraine, and uploads her work to the gallery on DeviantArt.
More than 20 paper colors, neat curls, intricate compositions, perfectly folded figures - all this makes Iron-Maiden Art's works look like incredible pastries. For richly decorated with cream cakes or pastries, which are also very fashionable today to create. But - paper, knife, glue and all the same twisting.
You can admire these and other works of the Ukrainian craftswoman, as well as leave a comment on the work, in her online gallery.
