It is not often that we have to deal with such wry-eyed creativity. Meanwhile, this is also art. Moreover, it is very peculiar and subtle, which can only be mastered by very patient, diligent people with excellent eyesight and a strong psyche. So, in a nutshell, you can describe the author of enchanting paintings, Mark Whalen, who works under the equally enchanting pseudonym Kill Pixie.
Mark began his artistic career as the author of graffiti murals on the streets of Sydney (Australia). However, later cans with paint faded into the background, giving way to ink and acrylic paints. With these tools, Kill Pixie creates his incredible paintings, which at first cause horror, then an indulgent smile, and then - curiosity and / or genuine interest in the work of the original author.
Mark Whalen creates in a small studio on Whatman sheets attached to wooden bases, and covers the finished paintings with a layer of special varnish. In order to preserve the original brightness and freshness of colors, because this is the main "feature" of his works.
By the way, Kill Pixie was not always inclined to draw such crazy plots - it happened in the last two or three years of his creative career. Curious, what could it be, a new period in creativity or a radical change in handwriting?
