Larisa Udovichenko was born in 1955 in Austria - her father, Ivan Udovichenko, a Ukrainian by nationality, served as a military doctor in Vienna. After the end of his service, the family moved to Ukraine. Childhood and adolescence of Larisa passed in Odessa, and she still considers herself an Odessa citizen. The girl inherited the desire to become an actress from her mother - she had to quit her studies at a theater university because of the outbreak of the war, and after its graduation she could not continue her studies due to her husband's constant business trips and realized her unfulfilled dreams in her daughter. Larisa studied at the actor's studio at the Odessa Film Studio, and there she, at the age of 15, attracted the attention of director Alexander Pavlovsky. Thanks to him, her acting debut in the film "Happy Kukushkin" took place.

By the time she graduated from school, Larisa Udovichenko had already starred in 3 films, and the question of choosing a further path no longer arose. She went to the capital and applied to all theatrical universities. She was admitted to VGIK for the course of Tamara Makarova and Sergei Gerasimov. In her student years, Udovichenko continued to act in films. She played her first serious role in the film of her teachers “Mothers and Daughters”, and nationwide popularity came to her a few years after graduation, when Stanislav Govorukhin's film “The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed” was released.

Initially, in this film, Udovichenko auditioned for the role of police officer Sinichkina, but she herself refused this image - the heroine seemed to her too insipid. The actress's professional instinct did not disappoint - the role of Manka-Bonds became her calling card. She has repeatedly said that the famous phrase "Bond or abligation?" escaped from her by accident - she really did not know how to spell the word correctly, and the director decided to leave it in the film. In this role, Udovichenko was so convincing that after the premiere of the film she had a whole army of fans among the prisoners who sent her letters with the words: “” One of them really came to the actress's home after her release, and she even had to go to the police.

After that, there were dozens of roles that the audience loved, among which the most successful were works in the films "The Most Charming and Attractive" and "Winter Cherry". Best of all, Udovichenko succeeded in comedic roles and images of charming adventurers and coquettes. In each work, the actress was incredibly organic. The impression was that she was not acting, but simply living in the frame, about which she herself said: "".

Unfortunately, her personal life was not as happy as her creative biography. The actress was married several times, but none of the marriages is considered successful. She says she always chose the "wrong men." Udovichenko would generally prefer to forget about her first marriage - she got married of convenience and was not proud of this act. It was a fictitious marriage with a Muscovite for the sake of a metropolitan residence permit. She herself never mentions this marriage, and her family union with director Andrei Eshpai is usually called the first marriage in biographical articles. They broke up due to her husband's excessive jealousy.

The next chosen one of the actress was the entrepreneur Gennady Bolgarin, in a marriage with whom Larisa had a daughter, Masha. For the sake of Udovichenko, he left his wife and 13-year-old son. After 20 years, this marriage also fell apart - Gennady was a gambling addict and lost a huge amount in the casino, which he borrowed. The actress still does not want to remember how she dealt with creditors, and does not even want to hear the name of her ex-husband. She was no longer married. Today Larisa Udovichenko, when asked whether she is happy, answers: "".
