On December 5, the famous theater and film actress Nina Ruslanova turns 73. She was called "the main foundling of Soviet cinema" - abandoned by her parents, she grew up in an orphanage, but was able to achieve incredible creative heights and achieve all-Union fame. In her years, she does not like to remember only one period of her life …
In fact, no one knows the exact date of her birth - in 1945 she was found at 2 months old on the street of the Ukrainian city of Bohodukhiv and was sent to an orphanage. And there she herself chose her birthday - December 5, since then it was Constitution Day, and on holidays they arranged concerts and tasty food. The name, surname and patronymic was also given to her in the orphanage. The choice of the surname turned out to be significant for the girl - after all, she received it in honor of the famous artist Lydia Ruslanova, and later she said that she had inherited talent and a successful creative destiny from her.
Nina Ruslanova did not like to talk about the time spent in the orphanage - these memories were too painful. Later, her daughter Olesya said: "". One day the teacher, looking at her blonde hair, suggested that her father was a German, and since then the children began to tease her as a fascist. She was hounded, beaten and persecuted, but this tempered her character for life. The actress says almost nothing about these half-starved post-war years in an interview, stating only that in the 1950s. she got that “inner core” that helped her survive and achieve everything that she has at the moment.
She did not master the acting profession right away - after Ruslanova changed 5 orphanages in the Kharkov region and graduated from the construction school, she worked for a year on a construction site as a painter-plasterer, and only then realized that she had chosen the wrong path. At first she entered the Kharkov Theater Institute, but after 2 years she left him and left for Moscow. There she managed on the first attempt to enter the Theater School. B. V. Schukin.
Already in her second year directors noticed Nina Ruslanova, although the competition in her course was very serious - Leonid Filatov, Alexander Kaidanovsky, Boris Galkin and others studied with her. Muratova offered her a role in her film "Short Meetings", where her filming partner was Vladimir Vysotsky. Since then, she has been filming almost without interruption. And after the actress graduated from college, several theaters were ready to accept her at once: Sovremennik, Taganka and the Vakhtangov Theater. She made her choice in favor of the latter, and for the next 15 years she performed on the stage of this theater.
Her filmography would be the envy of many actresses - she played more than 170 roles! Many of these films have become classics of Soviet cinema: Afonya, Tomorrow Was the War, Shadows Disappear at Noon, Heart of a Dog, Winter Cherry, Gypsy, Valentin and Valentina and many others. Nina Ruslanova is the owner of 4 Nika awards, state awards of the Belarusian and Ukrainian SSR, titles of Honored and People's Artist of Russia. Even in the 1990s, when many of her colleagues were unemployed, Nina Ruslanova, thanks to her amazing ability to work and willingness to work in any conditions, continued to act in films.
She was always open and straightforward, because of what her colleagues were afraid of her - the actress could put a strong word on both directors and journalists. She herself said about herself: "". This often became the cause of trouble in his personal life. The first husband of the actress was Gennady Rudakov. They had a daughter, Olesya, but in the early 1980s they broke up. Ruslanova admitted that in many ways the reason for this was her harsh nature. But with her second husband, operator Rafkat Gabitov, she lived in a civil marriage for about 30 years. In 2009, the actress became a grandmother - her daughter had a son, Kostya.
About 10 years ago, Nina Ruslanova started having health problems. In 2009, she even had to cancel the tour due to a heart attack. A year later, she had a mitral valve installed on her heart. In 2014, she again went to the hospital - she suffered a stroke. This year, the actress fell in her apartment and suffered a head injury. Despite all these difficulties, she never complained about her fate and steadfastly endured all her blows. Ruslanova still says that her best role has not yet been played and does not like being called a great actress. But how else can you talk about a woman who has gone through such a difficult path and became the favorite of millions?
The fate of the artist, after whom Nina Ruslanova was named, was also not easy. Lydia Ruslanova: From Poverty to National Glory.
