The CW channel recently celebrated the premiere of the 15th season of the already beloved series "Supernatural". This project has already been named the longest running fantasy show on American television. From the moment the first episode was released, fans of this series have already managed to graduate from high school and university, change jobs, start families, or even change their country of residence. And Supernatural continues and continues to be the highest rated CW project.
The main characters of the series are brothers Sam and Dean Winchesters (played by Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles). These guys are hereditary ghost hunters. They have traveled all over America, listen to classics of rock and fight against werewolves, vampires and other entities that ordinary people in the States do not even know about.
The first season began with the brothers busy looking for their father, who was a hunter of evil spirits and disappeared. But events develop in such a way that the brothers turn out to be key figures in the struggle of higher powers.
"Supernatural" may well be called a collection of tribal and urban legends in which demons, angels and pagan gods are woven. The show itself is built according to the best canons of a classic detective story. The brothers need to establish what kind of fantastic creature does not allow the inhabitants of the American hinterland to live in peace, and then figure out how to cope with it. To do this, the Winchesters meet with witnesses to murders and other crimes, play either as an FBI agent, or priests, or other iconic characters.
But this series is not a horror story at all. There are enough funny episodes in it when the brothers get into idiotic situations or make fun of each other.
What has not happened in the 15th season! And a remake of the popular film Groundhog Day, when one of the brothers tried to break the loop of time, and the other was dying all the time during this, and the resurrection of Hitler. Needless to say - the authors are simply great in ingenuity! Even in late seasons, there are more than enough interesting ideas. For example, the 200th anniversary edition has become a musical at all.
The colossal success of the Supernatural series was the impetus for the emergence of themed comics, anime, books and even an Internet series. On Russian television, the series was shown by the REN channel, but most fans prefer to watch the series online at https://sverhestestvennoe.me.
