His art is just goosebumps, his wild, ominous, unpredictable, but rich paintings and installations penetrate deep inside and touch the soul. His works combine the author's visions of psychological, religious, ideological and aesthetic problems. American Kris Kuksi pursues the idea of exposing the illusions created by us as a result of the fear that lives in our minds.
Kris Kuksi is a recognized contemporary artist whose art is classified as fantastic realism. He works in the technique of mixed media, creating grotesque collages and installations that tell that a person lives in a cruel world in which he is only a small element of a huge Whole. The entire created picture is first built in the author's head, but in the process of the work itself, the artist can improvise and add certain necessary details.
Kris Kuksi was born on March 2, 1973 in Springfield, Missouri and grew up in neighboring Kansas. Chris spent his childhood in rural seclusion and isolation, living with an alcoholic stepfather, older brothers and a mother who works all the time. All this was probably deposited in the mind of the young man. His interest in everything unusual was later reflected in his dark art. Anything that was ugly aroused admiration in him. The art of an artist in his youth is a kind of breakthrough in personal freedom from the negative influence of the environment on his consciousness.
The master's works have been awarded several awards and prizes and have been featured in more than 100 exhibitions and galleries in museums around the world. Chris's work can also be seen in private collections, with such famous people as Mark Parker (Nike CEO), Kay Alden (writer of the TV series "The Young and the Restless"), Fred Durst (musician, filmmaker), Chris Weits (director of the film "American pie").

Pop art is all about the glorification of popular culture, bright colors and flashy slogans, experiments with materials and a slap in the face of public taste. And also - at least in the perception of the majority - stormy parties, scandalous films, crazy biographies of artists and photographers … Least of all the above is associated with monastic robes. However, the nun was indeed the outstanding artist of pop art. Her name was Corita Kent, and in her work, love of God and political protest merge
Sculptures from the Churchtanks series. Fantastic surrealism by Kris Kuksi
The American sculptor Kris Kuksi is called a great experimenter, whose works certainly evoke a resonance, as well as a lot of diverse opinions and impressions. Some consider them to be stunning examples of modern steampunk, and with elements of fantastic surrealism, others are sure that all this chaotic jumble of details is very remotely reminiscent of steampunk, but there have never been and never will be those who will be indifferent. One of the most resonant is the series of sculptures
