Laconic and discreet, but at the same time emotional and sensitive, a talented German illustrator Simon Prades With just a few strokes and shades, he can depict on the canvas what worries the public, and therefore himself. So, after the tragedy in Fukushima, when the artists united in an impromptu art project Prayer for Japan, Simon Prades reacted to the incident with a series of themed posters. In ink and pen, as well as gentle pastel watercolors, in the traditional Japanese painting technique, Simon Prades depicted that emotional explosion, which was not inferior in strength to the explosion at Fukushima, adding here information chaos and confusion, tears and suffering, fear and doom, as well as faith and the hope that sowed not only the Japanese, but the whole world.
I must say that Simon Prades is a master at drawing emotions, and he also masterfully owns the technique of drawing with ink. So, this artist has a lot of graphic portraits, among which there are aged clowns, who can no longer smile as happily as before; and outlandish animals filled with hundreds of different objects, from heavenly bodies to human figures and household items. Not to mention the philosophical illustrations, to the deep meanings of which not everyone is able to "dive".
These and other works of the hardworking artist can be found on his website.
