The American studio Luminary Graphics, Inc is famous for its talented cartoons of celebrities in the world of art and science. In the new project "Luminaries of Literature" the studio staff released umbrellas, mugs, bags and notebooks with funny caricatures of famous writers. Now anyone can have coffee in the morning with William Shakespeare or on a rainy autumn day walk down the street under an umbrella with Charlotte Brontë.
The head of the project is the popular American cartoonist Mike Caplanis, who became famous among artists after publishing biographical reference books, which were illustrated with cartoons.
According to Mike, reading has long ceased to be a widespread form of leisure, and modern youth prefer computer games and movies to books. All this prompted him to create "Luminaries of Literature".
The main goal of the new project is to revive interest in classical literature. For example, a donated cup with a comical image of Lewis Carroll can inspire you to read Alice in Wonderland, and a bag with a portrait of Cervantes can inspire you to get acquainted with Don Quixote.
