Video: A kitchen that is a conceptual portrait of its owner

French agency of microarchitecture with a funny name Atelier 37.2 created a conceptual interior of the apartment, in which the kitchen, being a "portrait" of its owner, reflects the two sides of her harmonious personality.
In the space between the corridor and the kitchen, the architects placed a wardrobe, refrigerator and storage system. The laconic wood structure hiding these functions articulates the space while smoothing out its edges.
The planks, organized in a precise surface pattern, are firmly pressed against the walls of the intermediate space and conceal spacious niches. The wooden structure flows into the kitchen area with the chaotic and expressive shape of the fronts of the hanging drawers.
According to the authors of the interior, this functional interior installation is a portrait of the owner of the apartment. Composed of several parts, the creative composition demonstrates two different but complementary sides of the client's personality.
The symmetrical, neat side, located in the hallway, gradually turns into a wild, dynamic and shapeless mass of asymmetrically hammered oak planks. This kitchen side is very instinctive and seems to be quite fragile.
The visual power of an attitude lies in the continuous interplay of contrasting elements - the balance between impulsive and calm, instinctive and wise.
