Sometimes you just need one small "push", one heard word, or seen event, which will force the imagination and creativity of a creative person to "turn on" to create paintings, sculptures and installations.
For British artist Antony Heywood, he saw a documentary about killing elephants on TV. The artist was amazed at the mass extermination of elephants for the extraction of ivory. The author called his installation "Broken Family" - it is an elephant-shaped figure created from 80 televisions and computer monitors.
After watching the documentary, the author wanted to tell about what he saw and heard to all conscious residents, but to do it in a non-standard way: “I wanted to use the tool that told me this information, that is, the TV itself”.
An installation by Antony Heywood tells us a sad story about how an elephant lost her soul mate when her faithful friend was shot by a group of people who were hunting for his tusks.
