No surname, no detailed biography, no carefully recorded creative path - only the name, Antonio, and the pseudonym village9991, by which this author is better known in the art world. That's all there is to know about this character. Well, in addition to the fact that he is the author of stunning collage paintings, for which he uses any available material, be it newspaper and magazine editorials, shards of stained glass, pieces of tile and even scraps of American currency.
The Internet gives out scant facts about the life and work of Antonio (village9991). He became interested in drawing as a child, then became interested in the deeper process of creating photomosaics, which, in fact, he is still doing to this day. He lives in the Italian town of Bergamo, teaches mathematics at school, and in between times develops his technique of creating mosaics and improves the author's style, simultaneously composing something new.
On a separate line, I would put out a series of pictures called "Mr. President". It is easy to guess that all the works in the collection are dedicated to the personality of the newly elected President of the United States - Barack Obama. As stated on Antonio's website (village9991), for these paintings he needed editorials from hundreds of newspapers from around the world.

Portraits from pieces of tiles. Ed Chapman's mosaic art
He listens to Sex Pistols and The Doors, honors the Queen of Great Britain and the late Princess Diana, and is nostalgic for the Beatles and Elvis Presley. A self-taught artist, since the early 90s he has been looking for himself in creativity, piece by piece both his own style and his own works. He is a British artist, master of mosaic portraits Ed Chapman
People, people and again people. Drawings by John Beinart
If you only have a couple of moments to get to know Jon Beinart, then, glancing over his paintings, you will see black and white portraits or several human figures. But the drawings of this author are nevertheless recommended to be considered more thoughtfully and more carefully: and then you will see that in each image there are tens and hundreds of people, who can be peered at for hours
Paintings from pieces. Collage portraits by Patrick Bremer
Someone's parents leave a property, a car or a bank account as an inheritance, and the British artist Patrick Bremer inherited his creative talent from his father. So, Patrick grew up in a family where his father was an artist and art teacher, and he, of course, primarily influenced the work of his son. Then, when the sister of the young artist met a guy who was fond of the work of Iron Maiden, he, with bated breath, looked at the album covers of the group, the author
Pictures of photographic quality. "Pieces of People" by Indigo O'Rourke
Of course, this is not a horror movie or a pathologist's memoirs. "Pieces of People" is what Australian artist Indigo O'Rourke draws. By the way, I wonder if this is her real name or not. So, the girl draws parts of the body so that they do not look disgusting - moreover, these drawings are simply photographic quality. Well, since we have already written about pictures of this quality once or even twice, I think it is not worth explaining what it is
Strange people. Illustrations by Portuguese author Antonio Joao Santos
It is unfortunate that talented artists, illustrators and other representatives of the art world are often so modest and reserved. On the one hand, this is understandable, because his work speaks best about the author. But from the point of view of acquaintance with the personality of the author, this is a rather big minus. Well, let's try to turn a minus into a plus using the example of our today's author, Portuguese illustrator Antonio Joao Santos
