Steve Jobs was and remains a legendary person who forever inscribed his name in the history of computer technology. In the 1980s, Steve Jobs had a reputation as a noble heartthrob with a hard temper. The press watched his novels with unflagging interest, and Jobs himself every now and then gave rise to the appearance of his name in the gossip. But then Lauren Powell appeared in his life, who, with an accidental joke, turned everything in his life.

The University of Pennsylvania School of Business graduate was not going to stop there. Lauren Powell was not satisfied with the work of a simple clerk, and therefore she constantly raised her level. After working for several serious companies on Wall Street, she entered the MBA program at Stanford and in October 1989 gladly responded to a friend's offer to listen to a lecture by Steve Jobs at Stanford Business School. True, she always confused two computer geniuses. Going to the lecture, she knew for sure that she would hear Steve Jobs there, but for some reason she imagined Bill Gates.

Until the moment when Steve Jobs was invited to give a lecture at Stanford, he managed to experience several romantic hobbies. True, they did not leave a special trace in his life. He, like in business, calmly broke off relations if they did not suit him with something, and then fell in love again.

Hippie girl Chris-Ann Brennan gave birth to his daughter, whom he did not recognize for a long time. Advertising agency employee Barbara Jasinski marked the transition to a new stage of development and a radical change in his lifestyle for him. Folk singer Joan Baez, who was 14 years older than Jobs, turned out to be his girlfriend only because she once shared a bed with Steve's favorite singer Bob Dylan. Jennifer Egan immediately made it clear that she was not interested in marriage, and Tina Redse completely rejected his marriage proposal, not agreeing to coexist in the same space with such a selfish person. The last romance lasted four whole years, but after Tina refused to become his wife, Steve Jobs broke up with her.

Before the lecture, Lauren Powell was in the front row, and Steve Jobs himself sat next to her. He waited until he was introduced to the audience, and managed to talk with a neighbor. During a casual conversation, the girl, laughing, told him that she had won a lottery dinner with Steve Jobs himself. It seems that it was this phrase that made Steve look at Lauren with different eyes.

During the lecture, Jobs now and then cast glances at the girl, and after the lecture he tried not to lose sight of her when he talked with the students. At some point, Lauren left the audience, and Steve rushed after her. He could only catch up with her in the parking lot. He invited her to take away his prize and have dinner together on Saturday, but after receiving a phone number from Lauren, he immediately changed his mind and decided that dinner should take place on the day of their acquaintance. Their first date took place at Saint Michael's Alley vegetarian restaurant in Palo Alto. and marked the beginning of a lifelong novel.

Very soon Lauren was already living in Stephen's house in Mountain View, where she felt like a full-fledged mistress. The lovers felt good together, they watched their favorite films and programs, met with friends and arranged comic brawls in the yard. And on the first day of 1990, Steve made Lauren a marriage proposal, which the girl accepted without hesitation.

True, he did not give rings to his beloved, and after the engagement, it seems, he completely forgot that he was going to marry. The first place in his life was always occupied by work, into which he plunged headlong, deciding that Lauren was already happy with everything. At first, his bride waited patiently and sincerely believed that the loved one would somehow begin to prepare for the wedding. But Steve seems to have completely stopped paying attention to her. He had neither the strength nor the time for sentimentality. Nine months after the proposal, Lauren packed her things and left Jobs' house.

At first, he wanted, as before, to forget about his hobby, but a week passed, another, then a few more, and the pain of breaking up with Lauren did not subside. Then Jobs bought a ring and went to his beloved to ask for forgiveness. Of course, she forgave him, and as a sign of reconciliation, the lovers went together to Hawaii, from where Lauren arrived, already pregnant. Only the closest friends and relatives of the bride and groom were present at the wedding of Steve Jobs and Lauren Powell on March 18, 1991.

After the wedding, the one whom Tina Redse called an extremely selfish person changed beyond recognition. He tried to spend as much time at home as possible, and after the birth of his son Reed, he completely stopped going anywhere except at home and work. True, by the time Erin was born in 1995, he again disappeared at work more and more often, and he did not shy away from social events. The favorite of Steve Jobs was the youngest daughter Eve, in whom he saw his successor. She was born in 1998.

Lauren, on the other hand, raised children and was engaged in charity work, helped educational institutions, was keenly interested in environmental issues and the problems of migrants. Steve's voice was decisive in all matters, of course, but Lauren was fine with that.

On October 5, Steve Jobs died of cancer. Lauren at that time was not yet 48 years old. It was she who became the heiress of her husband's fortune, but, according to Lauren herself, the main thing that she took out of her life with Steve was her attitude to the world. She realized that people can change this world and their own lives.

Steve Jobs left no legacy to children who can provide themselves a comfortable existence with due diligence, and Jobs's widow is going to spend everything for good purposes. Almost 10 years have passed since Steve Jobs passed away. Lauren Powell did not imprison herself alone. She leads an active social life, information about her romances with men appears in the press from time to time. But she always remembers with warmth and gratitude her beloved Steve, who gave her 30 years of happiness.

Steve Jobs left this world at the age of 56, but even during his lifetime there were so many myths about him that today it is difficult to figure out which of them correspond to reality. He became a legend and a role model, but they say that his personal qualities, unlike those of a business, could not be admired.
