Sports photography is perhaps the most difficult type of photography. You can master all the professional subtleties, buy the best equipment, choose the right place for shooting, but miss the moment because of a speck that gets in your eye. Of course, no one will score an encore, but still the photographers manage to please football fans with successful, unique pictures.

The line between art and sports photography is very thin. Most of the shots taken on the football field are general and do not carry a special semantic load, but sometimes, photographers manage to capture unique moments full of emotions and expression.

Of course, a good panoramic photo of the stadium can be taken at any time, especially when the field is empty. It is much more difficult to find a place to shoot during the game, because even a photographer with a shooting permit (accreditation) cannot always get close to the players. The places reserved for the press, simply, may turn out to be unsuccessful, then all that the photographer can count on is a couple of hundred unremarkable panoramic photos: a stadium, a few players and a small ball in the distance.

Some lucky or daredevils manage to sneak directly behind the goalkeeper's back, then the photographer has a chance to catch the most important thing - the "goal", the ball stretching the goal net and emotions on the players' faces.

The stadium may be open-air, but the game continues regardless of weather conditions. Rain complicates the work of athletes, but photographers get the opportunity to take unique pictures.
