Probably all the boys in childhood play with toy cars. Some are more, some are less. But there are people who cannot part with their favorite pastime in adulthood. Like Michael Paul Smith, famous for his miniature performances starring vintage cars.
Michael Paul Smith was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and currently resides in New England. Over the past 25 years, the talented photographer has created an incredible number of images using miniature car models to recreate the atmosphere of a typical mid-20th century American city.
The photographer has in his collection more than 300 different cars at a scale of 1:24 and all kinds of layouts of areas that imitate a park, roadway, buildings.
All this Michael Paul Smith brings together with the help of a good shot. So much so that in the picture it seems that both the car and the environment are absolutely real.
The photographer even published a 144-page hardcover book entitled Elgin Park: The Ideal American Town. However, all of his works are available on the Internet.
Also on the worldwide network you can find miniature houses and other buildings created by the artist Louise Bristow (Louise Bristow).
