The flow of refugees from Syria is drying up, the EU is building borders, and one of the latest stories is truly touching. The boy, who walked 500 kilometers, carried with him the most precious thing he had - his dog all the way.
17-year-old Aslan had to flee with his parents from his native Syria. They covered most of the way on foot. In such conditions, each kilogram is felt especially hard. And Aslan carried, in addition to his backpack, a cage with his beloved dog Rose. And also food and drink for her. All 500 kilometers, the road through the waters of the Mediterranean Sea - Rose was with her master every minute. When asked why Aslan took her with him, the boy answered simply: "I love her."
Aslan took the documents for his dog, took care of everything. "I was told that I cannot take my dog with me," Aslan tells the journalist. But that did not stop the Syrian teenager. Now that he and his family have reached the safe shores of Greece, a new life will begin for all of them.
