Young Cuban sculptor Yoan Capote inspired by the work of world famous creators Gabriel Orozco and Daniel Hertz, mother nature, as well as his own emotions and experiences. Having started his creative career as a painter, he gradually retrained as a sculptor, and now he pleases and surprises the world with his unusual, very thoughtful and imaginative sculptures, which, in turn, inspire other young and talented authors. Ioan Capote was born in 1977, in the Cuban town of Pinar del Rio, but later moved to the capital of the state, Havana. There he graduated from the Superior Institute of Art, as part of the creative team DUPP (Desde Una Pragmatica Pedagogica) received a prize from UNESCO during the VII Havana Biennale of Contemporary Arts, and then began his "solo career" as an artist.
However, as already mentioned, later Ioan Capote retrained as a sculptor, because he believed that three-dimensional art is more emotional and expressive, which means that this is how you can more excite the viewer, make him feel more deeply and understand more. Whether the sculptor is right in his convictions remains to be seen, but be that as it may, he is already famous and recognized throughout the world, especially in Cuban art circles, where he is considered a promising and talented author for some reason.
Many art critics characterize Ioan Capote's sculptures as provocative, non-conformist, shocking and defiant, but note the integrity of the work and the depth of the images. Sculptures by Ioan Capote have repeatedly participated in international exhibitions and galleries, and you can see them with your own eyes on the author's personal website.
