Almost three quarters of Finland's territory is covered with forests, and the diversity of animals in this country is delightful and mesmerizing. Especially when the Finnish photographer Ossi Saarinen, who knows how to show the fabulous side of nature, gets down to business. In his photographs, the animals seem to be posing on purpose, turning each photo into a work of art.
Ossi Saarinen is only 22 years old, but his photographs will give odds to the most famous nature photographers. In search of new encounters with animals, he regularly travels around the country, so he is not by hearsay familiar with the variety of birds and animals in Finland - and he tries to show all this wealth of the northern country and the rest of the people.
According to the photographer, he usually does not shoot during the day, since most of the animals are not active at this time of day and "the light is rather boring." His best shots, including numerous photographs of foxes and rodents, were taken at sunset. A year ago, he met a little forest mouse at his house, named him Bilbo, and this rodent became one of the regular heroes of Ossi's photographs.
A little earlier, we published other magical works of Ossi Saarinen - his a series about foxes and forest birds.
