(Corneliu Dragan-Targoviste) is a modern Romanian watercolor painter who, not being afraid of changes in his life, decided to leave boring work and devote himself entirely to creativity. In his early 30s, he creates truly atmospheric landscapes, looking at which you feel a sense of calm and serenity.
Despite the fact that watercolor is most often called one of the most disobedient and unpredictable paints that require the artist's maximum care and accuracy, nevertheless, the one who managed to "conquer" and "tame" it knows the secret of creating truly beautiful works, looking at which you ask one single question: "To whom did the master sell his soul to write like this?" And it is not at all surprising that Corneliu gave his preference to watercolor painting, because there is something special and magical in it, something that, from the first minutes, riveting attention, evokes the most mixed feelings and emotions. In his discreet, but such sincere works, truly quiet, calm and partly sad landscapes come to life, which you can look at for hours, giving yourself thoughts, reflections and memories …
Perhaps, watercolor is very popular not only among artists and connoisseurs of painting, who willingly replenish their collections with soft, delicate canvases, in which there are no clear boundaries, but only smooth lines and strokes, as if by magic in the skillful hands of the master, give rise to partly blurred plots. Some paint still lifes, others - landscapes, others - portraits, and creates stunning pictures with charming purrs, rather looking at the world.

The atmospheric paintings of the Russian painter Pavel Ryzhenko are a real treasure trove of tragic events associated with the historical past of the great Russian people. And, despite the fact that most of the canvases are saturated with pain, melancholy and despair, at the same time they are all strong in spirit, because the author put into them not only his soul, but also a deep meaning, allowing you to look at what was happening earlier "from the outside"

Crumbled watercolor portraits. Celebrities in Crushed Watercolor Portraits by Borja Martinez
The portraits created by the young Spanish artist Borja Martinez, although they are watercolors, are not painted on paper, but "crumbled". Instead of dipping a brush in water and then picking up paint of the desired color from a palette, Borja Martinez breaks dry watercolor into small pieces, down to grains of sand, and then lays out portraits of celebrities from these multi-colored crumbs. This unusual project is called Crushed Watercolor Portraits
