A ceremony was held in the British capital on Saturday, December 1, 2018, during which the award was presented to the film that became the best at the Russian Film Week in the UK. The jury decided that the best this time turned out to be the film directed by Alexander Hunt "How Vitka Garlic Brought Leha Shtyr to the Home for Invalids".

The Russian director made a speech after receiving the prestigious award and said that this victory was completely unexpected for him, because for 32-year-old Hunt this work was his debut. By the way, the film was debut not only for the director, but for the screenwriter Alexei Borodachev and the cameraman Daniil Fomichev. This film shows the audience the story of a young man who had a difficult relationship with his father. It is worth noting that in addition to the main prize, this film was awarded two more awards for the best screenplay and for the best actor, which became Evgeny Tkachuk.

During his interview with news outlets, the director said that no one expected such high marks. When creating this film, everyone thought that soon after the release they would forget about it and did not think that they would travel to different festivals with the film, receiving numerous awards.

Speaking about the success in his first work, Hunt cites the poor quality of other Russian-made films as the reason for such a high mark. He also draws attention to the fact that other works for the most part turn out to be too far from the viewer. It is the absence of strong competitors that allows good films to collect prestigious awards, which, in fact, should be given for much greater success.

During the Russian Film Week in Great Britain, Irina Starshenbaum was named the best actress for her role in the film Summer, and she was awarded the Golden Unicorn statuette. The best documentary film was a picture with the title "INTO_nation of Big Odessa". Among the short films, the picture "Sign" was recognized as the best. Foreign films about Russia and those related to this country received their awards, they were, respectively, "The War of Snipers" and "Sergio and Sergei". Timofey Zhalnin for the film "Two" at this event was called a rising talent.
