In Spain, the smallest film festival in the world will be held in the village of Askaso, located near Huesca, the center of the province of Aragon. The unusual event is called La Muestra De Ascaso 2018. The film festival is organized by Madrid's Miguel Cordero and Nestor Prades, a native of Castellón. The event will take place on August 25 this year. For the first time in the domestic media this became known from the report of the publication "Spain in Russian".

This is the fourth time that the Askaso Custom Film Festival will take place. The event has been hosted by Cordero and Prades for four years in a row and has always been a success. As noted by the journalists of the publication, from which this news became known for the first time, at the moment only three residents live in the village of Askaso. This settlement is actually abandoned. According to the organizers themselves, it was simply impossible to choose the best place for the "smallest" film festival.

Films will be shown in the open air, on the site that used to be a local threshing floor. In case of rain, you can take refuge in a local inn. There will also be a discussion of the films after the screening. Last year the festival was attended by about 100 people. This year, as before, the organizers have prepared seating for 140 people. Guests of the festival will sit on plastic chairs.

Seven feature films and ten short films will be screened during the festival. The screening will begin with a restored documentary film by Soviet director Mikhail Kalazotov. In addition, the film by Wim Wenders and Julian Ribeiro Salgado "Salt of the Earth", the Spanish-Mexican film Los días sin Joyce by Agustin Oso and Anna Soler, the film El Rayo by Fran Araujo and Ernesto de Nova and many others will be shown. The festival will last 5 days. One day ticket costs three euros. For ten euros you can buy a subscription to the whole event.
