Oyster Men, or Oystermen, is a creative art object created by Finnish designer Marco Casagrande. It is a composition of four men on the coast of Kinmen Island (Taiwan). The sculptures are made of stainless steel, these are 6-meter figures, at high tide, the illusion is created that they are walking on water.
The main intrigue lies, of course, in the name. The sculptures are called "oyster men" because it is assumed that over time, their "legs" will be chosen by these sea creatures. Sculptures by Marco Casagrande are also good because they are "friendly" to nature: the conical Asian hats on their heads glow with the arrival of darkness, since they have solar panels that accumulate energy per day. The illuminated seaside looks very romantic at night.
Mysterious people will surely soon become one of Taiwan's business cards. At low tide they stand as if on stilts, and at high tide they walk along the water surface. By the way, the idea of sculptures going out to sea is not new. Not so long ago on the site Kulturologiya. Ru we wrote about the installation "Another Place", human figures installed on Crosby Beach, located north of Liverpool (England).

Viking ships on the Spanish coast: festival in Catoira
The sea frowned menacingly, whipping with gray breakers - under the sail of the jarl, the glorious drakkar is looking for prey! The Viking ships are approaching the shore, and the impatient men of the battle are trying with their fingers whether the axes are well pricked up … But the Spanish village of Catoira today will not be given over to fire and sword; there will be a much more peaceful sight - the historical Viking festival
How to get to the Mars branch on Earth: Hormuz Island, where the sea and the coast are red
The first sensation that arises for everyone who has seen this extremely arid and extremely bright island in the center of Iran is one thing: you are on another planet. Houses of all colors and shades, Iranian hippies scurrying through the streets, local women in clothes unusually bright for ordinary Iranians (a multi-colored dress and no less colorful patterned veil) - this, of course, is unusual. But the most shocking feature of Hormuz is its multi-colored sand, for which the island was nicknamed Rainbow Island throughout the world. They also call him filia

Shelter for introverts: What attracts the hotel on the Skeleton Coast - in a place from which it was possible to escape living units
This place seems very gloomy: the part of the coast of Namibia, which extends to the border with Angola, is a desolate desert, in which wrecks of ships and boats meet. People often died here, and it is no coincidence that this natural park was named "Skeleton Coast". However, in our time there are many people who want to visit these lands. Moreover, a hotel has recently appeared here: houses, standing right in the middle of the desert, are stylized as sunken ships
Mysterious forests and other mysterious places by Eyvind Earle
The paintings of this artist are simply striking in their uniqueness. It seems that this was not without Photoshop, but in those days when this artist created his best work, even computers were weak. It's just his own technique, Eyvind Earle, arguably the most interesting artist to have worked on Disney cartoons since the 50s
