One head it's good, but two better. This proverb succinctly and intelligibly explains why the collection of art jewelry by the French jeweler Lydia Courteille so popular and interesting even for those who are indifferent to such jewelry. Each piece from this collection, which is completely devoted to astrology, was illustrated in her inimitable manner by a young artist Natalie Shau … And their joint art project is called neither more nor less, 13th sign of the zodiac (The 13th sign) … This zodiac sign collection includes a dozen ornate jewel rings in Lydia Courtey's signature style, which is a mixture of gothic, romance and glamorous antique retro. Each sign corresponds to its own stone, and the author of the project, as a designer and certified gemologist, found a way to decorate her miniature masterpieces so that not only the stone would correspond to the zodiac, but also the color palette of the decoration. Turquoise tourmaline, pearl-colored rock crystal, sapphires and moonstone, chrysolites and rhodochrosite, multicolored garnets, rubies and diamonds are just a small list of those "girls' friends" who adorn the zodiacal jewels of Lydia Courtey.
As already mentioned, the joint art project of Lydia Kurtey and Natalie Shau is called "The 13th sign", which in itself already sounds very intriguing. The thirteenth sign Lydia Courtey calls "Serpentarius", and depicts him in the form of a snake inlaid with black and white diamonds, green tsavorites and scarlet rubies, which is wrapped around a moonstone in a ring of blackened gold. By the way, this astrological adornment, as well as some other zodiac rings, are accompanied by corresponding earrings made of the same stones as the main adornment of the headset.
Since the readers of Cultural Studies are already familiar with the Gothic surrealism of Natalie Schau's creative works, they will probably agree that in combination with the extraordinary decorations of the French designer and jeweler Lydia Courtey, these amazing illustrations look very organic. It so happened that the artists found each other, and today all of Lydia Courtey's jewelry art projects are accompanied by surreal promo illustrations in this unchanging gothic-glamorous style. You can see the joint art projects of the jeweler and the artist on the website of Lydia Kurtey.

Zodiac signs in body art by Rudy Everts
Perhaps, body art is one of the most unusual and interesting types of painting, because here the human body acts as a canvas. On the other hand, body art is incredibly difficult: painting a living three-dimensional model with all its curves and depressions is not at all like creating a painting on a flat, smooth canvas. And despite the fact that many try their hand at body art, only a few become true masters. We have already talked about one of them, Craig Tracy, on the pages of our magazine, and
