It would seem that beach inflatable rings are not an attribute at all for winter time. However, in the French city of Lyon, an unusual light installation Floating Lights, created precisely from this extraordinary material for December.
Lyon is one of the centers of contemporary art in Europe. This French city regularly hosts international festivals dedicated to various forms of manifestation of modern creative thought.
Examples of the most impressive works shown by artists in Lyon include the dancing figures of Key Frames, the light pinball on the facade of the theater, or the installation Floating Lights that appeared there the other day.
Lyon hosts an international festival of light art every winter. Within its framework, the artist Travesias de Luz presented the installation Floating Lights this year.
The Floating Lights installation consists of a multitude of colored inflatable rings that people usually use on the beach in the summer to swim in a river or sea without much effort. However, Travesias de Luz hung these elements on the wall, and even supplied them with LED backlighting that can change color under computer control.
Moreover, the artist every day corrects something in this installation - changes the lighting, adds or removes individual inflatable circles in order to create various figures or even inscriptions with the help of light.
Travesias de Luz himself explains the idea of the Floating Lights installation by the fact that usually a person does not see the clear contours of light, the rays for him always remain formless and intangible. In his work, the artist invites viewers to take a closer look at the light, and even touch it.

Surreal paintings from circles and spots. Unusual painting by Matthew Davis (Matthew Davis)
Pictures of dots, circles and specks that readers could see on the pages of Culturology.Ru belonged to this type of painting as pointillism. The author does not hang labels on his paintings, but believes that they are much more surreal than any others. And in this he is undoubtedly right
