On June 23, a solemn ceremony of honoring the winners of the literary competition "About Love for the Motherland" was held in Moscow in the Moloda Gvardiya store. The jury of the competition, in addition to its founder - the writer Amaria Rai - included Sergei Abakumov (Public Recognition Foundation, a member of the Public Chamber of Russia), the world and Russian opera star Lyubov Kazarnovskaya, TV presenter Tutta Larsen, director Oleg Berdyugin and Director of the NGO Downside Charitable Foundation Up Anna Portugalova.

“Stories that somehow played up the theme of patriotism were accepted for consideration. And it turned out that it was absolutely not necessary for a patriotic work to be pretentious - an artless story about bright people with whom the author was brought together by fate is able to very clearly express love for the Fatherland …” - wrote on the next day Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

The military theme also sounded in the works sent to the competition. The pain of the war that began 70 years ago does not subside in our hearts, we must live, remembering those pages of the country's history that were written with the blood of her loving children …

The laureates were Valery Petkov (Riga, story "ABBA") and Sergei Baranovsky (Moscow, short story "Ascent with construction"). The authors received a certificate for a trip to one of the cities of the Golden Ring of Russia from the "Tours for Friends" network.

The works of Vladimir Shapoval, Sergei Weber, Darina Sibirtseva, Svetlana Korchagina, Igor Monakov and Nadezhda Tsygankova were especially noted. At the ceremony, the winners were congratulated by members of the jury - singer Lyubov Kazarnovskaya, public figure Sergei Abakumov, director Oleg Berdyugin, TV presenter Tutta Larsen and writer Amaria Rai. Amaria read excerpts from the works of the contestants, and Lyubov Kazarnovskaya arranged a completely unique musical surprise for the laureates and guests of the event: her pupils, students from Gnesinka Zara Aretova, Alexandra Antoshina and Anastasia Kutina, accompanied by Nadezhda Kotnova, performed solo numbers, delighting the audience with a perfect soprano.
