German Titov is the youngest of the cosmonauts who have been in space. On August 6, 1961, when he ascended into low-earth orbit on the Vostok-2 spacecraft, he was 26 years old without one month. He was the second person to leave the Earth, but the first to make a daily flight, the first to take a photo of the Earth from space, the first to have lunch and even sleep in zero gravity. After his flight, Titov took part in various space programs, and only retired in 1992.
