Emilia Clarke, who played the role of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, presented the release of her feminist comic, M. O. M.: Mother of Madness. The actress posted information about this on her Instagram page.

It is known that the star created the book together with the writer Marguerite Bennett. This is a story about a single mother who unexpectedly for herself and for those around her learns that she has superpowers. And she begins to use the opportunity that has opened up to fight against those who are trafficking in people. Emilia Clarke commented on her creation: "We always call mothers superheroines, and I wondered: what if they really were?"

The actress said that her character can gain different abilities depending on the phase of the menstrual cycle. Clarke explained that in her book, she decided to make what women hate about themselves, what can make them supermen.

According to the celebrity, she was a fan of comics since childhood, but she experienced a problem - she often felt isolated by this community on the basis of gender. She was not even allowed to go shopping with her brother, arguing that she was a girl. But when she nevertheless found herself in the store, she noticed that she had very few girls on the covers of comic books. Emilia Clarke notes that in fact the situation has not changed much - it is difficult today to see superheroines who are not pulled in tight clothes.

And recently it became known that Emilia Clarke will star in the Marvel series "Secret Invasion". She will star alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Olivia Colman, Ben Mendelson and Kingsley Ben-Adir.

What role Clarke will play has not yet been disclosed. Jackson will appear in the series as Nick Fury, and Mendelson as Skrull Talos. Ben-Adir will play the role of the main villain of the story. Coleman's image is also not revealed.

The show will presumably tell about a group of werewolf aliens who have infiltrated Earth. The script for the series will be written by Kyle Bradstreet, who will also be the executive producer of the project. The "secret invasion" will be handled by Kevin Feige's company behind Wanda Vision.

The series will feature the Disney + streaming service. When the first season will premiere is still unknown. According to the head of Marvel Studios, the project will be "the largest comic book crossover in 20 years."
