For many years, the actress Tatyana Dogileva and her colleague Oleg Menshikov were connected not only by business relations, but also by strong friendship. They were practically inseparable and, it seemed, no forces could destroy their tandem. But life often brings unexpected adjustments to human relationships. So it happened with the actors. At first, they moved away from each other, each carried away by his own life, and after that they completely stopped communicating. At the same time, for several years they do not communicate with each other at all, and Tatyana Dogileva cannot forgive Oleg Menshikov.
The beginning of their friendship was laid by Mikhail Kozakov's film "Pokrovskie Vorota". Tatiana Dogileva and Oleg Menshikov talked a lot during the filming, and after their relationship went beyond the set, they became unusually friendly. They were interested in each other, they could talk for hours, share personal experiences, discuss creativity and plans for the future.
In 1985, they both entered the service at the Yermolova Theater, which only strengthened the friendship of the actors. True, four years later, Oleg Menshikov left the troupe, he acted in films, collaborated with various theaters and built a career.
Tatyana Dogileva remained to work in the theater, and when the daughter of the actress Ekaterina was born in 1994, she invited Oleg Menshikov to become the baby's godfather.
The time was quite difficult, the actress plunged into family life, and in the theater things were going pretty badly at that time. In those years, theater and cinema were in a deep crisis, the audience almost did not go to the performances. The crisis in the country simply could not but lead to a crisis in art. Tatyana Dogileva appeared on the stage less and less, and after that they stopped offering her roles altogether. There was a period when the actress was thinking about leaving the theater, but after she decided to stay, in spite of all those who skillfully, according to Tatyana Dogileva, weaved intrigues against her.
At that time, Oleg Menshikov's creative life was literally in full swing. He starred a lot, won awards (including the State Prize of Russia for his shooting in the film "The Barber of Siberia"). He created his own entreprise, he himself began to stage performances in which he participated. In the early 2000s, Oleg Menshikov became the founder of the award for theater critics, became a member of the jury of the Triumph award for literature and art. In 2011, he not only released his first solo performance, but also created a brass band, inviting Denis Vinogradov as conductor. And in 2012 he returned to the Yermolova Theater as artistic director.
At that time, the relationship between Oleg Menshikov and Tatyana Dogileva was already pretty cool, but the actress hoped for an old friendship. She even turned to Oleg Menshikov and asked the new artistic director to review her work in the theater. The actress sincerely hoped that now she would have roles again and she would go on stage. Oleg Menshikov promised to set aside time for communication with the actress, but after that he suddenly stopped answering her phone calls and in every possible way avoided a personal meeting.
And then something happened that Tatyana Dogileva had never expected. She was offered to write a letter of resignation. The actress immediately wanted to go and talk to an old friend, but after that she simply signed a statement and left.
Commenting on his decision regarding Tatyana Dogileva, Oleg Menshikov noted during a press conference: it is extremely indecent to receive a salary for 20 years and at the same time not go on stage at all. Naturally, the actress was insulted by his words to the core. This time she did not refuse to give an interview to one of the publications.
Then Tatyana Dogileva reminded the new artistic director of the theater that she was left without roles far from her own will, and then she was not fired from the theater only for her past merits. She was not at all to blame for the constantly empty halls during performances, and she certainly did not consider herself the main ballast of the theater.
The actress's resentment against her former friend was so strong that she did not miss the opportunity to tell about Menshikov's entourage, which included flatterers and sycophants. According to Tatyana Dogileva, it was these people who became the reason for her gradual distance from her friend. She also recalled the hostile relationship between Oleg Menshikov and his childhood friends.
Offended in her best feelings, Tatyana Dogileva said: she is not going to either meet with Oleg Evgenievich or communicate with him. And she turned to him through the newspaper, announcing his dismissal from the position of her daughter's godfather.
More than eight years have passed since then, and the former friends still do not communicate. The actress was never able to forgive Oleg Menshikov, but at the same time she ceased to have any feelings for him at all. It is as if he does not exist for her, and the former warm relationship remained only memories of good and bright times.
Today the film "Pokrovskie Vorota", which made friends with Tatyana Dogileva and Oleg Menshikov, is called a classic of Soviet cinema and one of the best films of Mikhail Kozakov. And in those days, comedies predicted failure, the director was not given permission to shoot, and after the film was still shot, he lay on the shelf for several years. Today it is difficult to understand the logic by which this wonderful comedy could seem ideologically harmful.
