Landscape lyrics - they always fascinate, delight, pacify, especially in painting. That is why some contemporary artists continue to work in this direction, regardless of how difficult it is sometimes to captivate a discerning viewer, to catch his attention, to cause even a drop of admiration. Today in our virtual gallery the artist's paintings Alexey Adamov - an excellent virtuoso of the landscape landscape and the marina, who permeated each of his paintings with picturesque lyricism, and conquered not only domestic collectors with it.
Alexey Adamov is a landscape painter, marine painter, a vivid follower of the Russian realistic school of painting. The artist has written more than one hundred works during his creative career. He is a personality of tireless energy. Since 1996, the landscape painter has been participating in art forums and various exhibitions. His works can be found in various exhibitions and opening days, in Moscow and European galleries.
His works have been exhibited with great success in Prague, Paris, at the Art gallery NOVEKS at the ARTA gallery in Toronto, as well as at an exhibition entitled "Russian Romanticism" at the Petley Fine Art gallery in London.
The artist has held many personal exhibitions in his native Taganrog and Rostov-on-Don, as well as annual exhibitions in the Central House of Artists in the capital. In 2009, Alexey Adamov took part in the annual International Art Salon in Moscow, his paintings were exhibited in the Government House and in the State Tauride Palace of St. Petersburg.
It seems that this is an excellent indicator for the talented works of the master and a reason to look at them.
Marine studies by Alexey Adamov
Adamov's works are so realistic that it is time to classify them as hyperrealism … And at the same time, they contain something of the artist himself, of the state of his fine mental organization. In his creations, with trepidation and love, he reproduces the natural world, saturated with an atmosphere of harmony, majestic peace and reigning tranquility. This state is complemented by a very finely selected color scheme and the author's manner of the painter, developed over the years. The meticulous attention to detail impresses even the most sophisticated viewer.
And what most admires in the painter's works is his amazing mastery of the technique of transferring the aquatic environment. Be it the mirror-like surface of a lake, a creek, an ordinary puddle, a seething river, the surf of a stormy sea, or its complete calm.
The artist's manner impresses the viewer with the use of simple, but such spectacular and original painting techniques. Many, for sure, have a desire to touch the surface of the sea and feel its touch. An amazing feeling …
His paintings are a story about the eternal, these are images where reality and fiction merge together, and plots with their own unique features, so unexpectedly familiar to the viewer from childhood.
About the artist
Alexey Adamov was born in 1971 in the city of Taganrog, located on the shores of the Azov Sea. When Alexei is asked when he started drawing, he replies that he remembers himself as always drawing. He also remembers with gratitude his grandmother, who was the first to notice the makings of great talent in her grandson. It was she who took him to the city art school. However, he became an artist not by a fluke, but rather by continuity and heredity … Since Alexei's father was an amateur artist and was a master of chasing.
From childhood, Alexei began to participate in all kinds of competitions. Curiously, the boy submitted his first drawing to a television competition at the age of 11. And it was not a landscape at all and not a seascape … According to the terms of the competition, he depicted a concentration camp. And, apparently, the soul of the little artist reacted so negatively to the ugliness of the human world that since then he never again painted "terrible" drawings. Because the world around him, in which he saw the eternal beauty of nature, did not seem to the future artist this way. The natural landscapes of the adjacent vast Don territory of the future landscape painter did not leave indifferent. It was to them that Alexei Adamov dedicated his further mature work.
And you also need to pay tribute to the dedication of young Adamov - to the Rostov Art School. M. B. Grekov, he managed to enter only on the third attempt. In 1992, he left its walls as a certified artist and went to conquer Moscow. They say the truth - you can't escape fate, and today Aleksey is an excellent master of landscape and seascape with his own author's handwriting, original manner of writing, flair of nature and surprisingly harmonious color.
Alexey Adamov is a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia since 2004, the International Art Fund, the Moscow Association of Artists since 2005. Since 2007 he is a corresponding member of the International Academy of Culture and Art. And its unique landscapes and marinas are constantly dispersed in private collections of domestic and foreign collectors, and are also purchased in the funds of state galleries and for the offices of high-ranking officials of the state. Today the artist lives and works fruitfully both in Moscow and in Taganrog.
There is in the artist's work that bewitching charm of contemplation of earthly beauty, which makes you think about many things. And above all about the eternity and instantaneousness of human existence, about the joy of life and the sadness of fading. By the way, the artist's natural landscapes are no less interesting than seascape painting. You can watch them in the video below:
