Elina Bystritskaya is one of the most beautiful and talented actresses in Soviet cinema. She had a difficult character, the actress always behaved like a king, was quick-tempered, but no one could accuse Elina Bystritskaya of some unreasonable whims. She was very fond of the technical staff, Bystritskaya tried to stay level with her colleagues, but the actress refused to act with Sergei Bondarchuk. And Lyubov Orlova did not want to act with Elina Bystritskaya.
Loyalty to the profession
Elina Bystritskaya always led such a lifestyle that she herself would not be ashamed of herself. It seems that at home she also looked so that it was possible to conduct a photo shoot or shoot an interview without preparation. Exemplary order in the apartment and impeccable appearance - these were the features of the actress. She considered herself not entitled to look bad and taught the same to her students from GITIS, who had an acting teacher.
True, by no means all of her students she developed a truly warm relationship. The trust of Elina Bystritskaya had to be earned, and she invited only those who managed to please the actress with creative successes to her house. She wanted to convey to the students not only her own experience, but also her attitude to the profession, attention to trifles and details, from which the image is born.
In her classes, the actress did not just look at the sketches of students, she acted out every scene. In addition, all her pupils knew that Elina Avraamovna made up only herself, wigs and costumes for roles were prepared with her direct participation, and often according to the sketches of the actress.
But the most amazing thing was how she, a famous actress, was touchingly caring for her students. During the session, rehearsals ended very late, and Bystritskaya brought sliced bread, cheese and sausage with her to feed the students. And even the field of how they received their diplomas, if Bystritskaya's graduates needed help, they turned to the actress, and she completely disinterestedly helped them.
She was principled and straightforward, did not take part in intrigues, but always defended her own position to the end.
Unfinished story
The conflict between Elina Bystritskaya and Sergei Bondarchuk took place back in 1951, when they met on the set of the film "Taras Shevchenko". Sergei Fedorovich played the main role, and Elina Bystritskaya starred in the crowd.
Once during a break, Sergei Bondarchuk and Elina Bystritskaya met and had a big fight. Some argue that the actor showed attention to a pretty student, but Bystritskaya did not like it, according to other sources, Sergei Bondarchuk said something rude about the aspiring actress and even pushed her slightly. Even in her youth, the future screen star knew how to stand up for herself and did not forgive insults. She gave a rather harsh rebuff to Bondarchuk, and since then they have not even looked towards each other, pretending to be unfamiliar.
Four years later, they crossed paths on the set of the film "Unfinished Story". The piercing and touching story of the paralyzed designer and the district doctor, played by the actors in the film by Friedrich Ermler, still excites the souls of the audience.
But behind the scenes of the "Unfinished Story" between Bondarchuk and Bystritskaya there were almost fighting. Sergei Fedorovich was rude to his on-screen lover, Bystritskaya refused to work with him at all. The director of the film had to take drastic measures and separate the actors in time and space. Close-ups with their participation were filmed separately, and then edited together. As soon as they converged in common scenes, the actors immediately began to throw thunder and lightning at each other. Nevertheless, the film was shot, thanks to the professional skills of not only the actors, but also the entire crew.
Russian souvenir
In 1960, Grigory Alexandrov's film "Russian Souvenir" was released, of course, with Lyubov Orlova in the title role. The director invited Elina Bystritskaya to play the Italian spy countess Pandora Montesi. The main star of Soviet cinema did not like the choice of a spouse, especially since she played an engineer girl who was much younger in age than the actress.
Naturally, in the scenes with Bystritskaya, as Orlova herself quite rightly believed, her own age will be too noticeable. But Grigory Alexandrov nevertheless approved the candidacy of Bystritskaya and released the film, however, for this he had to shoot the actresses separately, and then edit them in one frame. "Russian souvenir" was shown very little, as it was recognized as very propaganda and far-fetched.
Love of life
Elina Bystritskaya was an amazing person. She knew how to love to self-forgetfulness, but she never forgave self-neglect and betrayal. She was happy with her husband for 27 years, but broke up with him mercilessly, barely learning about infidelity.
Elina Bystritskaya loved travel and played billiards skillfully, knew many boxers and followed all the important competitions in this sport. It seemed that only age prevented the actress from trying to enter the ring herself. Elina Bystritskaya played an important role in the development of the rhythmic gymnast: she was the president of the Federation, she herself petitioned high officials about athletes, urged to pay attention and provide all kinds of support to this sport.
And at 80, she suddenly sang. No, she sang before, but for herself and her friends, and already in adulthood, when she left the theater, she prepared a concert program, with which she performed a lot.
For almost a year now, Elina Bystritskaya has not been with us. But there are films with her participation, the memory of a talented actress and a man of unbending will.
Elina Bystritskaya is still considered one of the most beautiful actresses today, but she was often left without roles in theater and cinema. She has been married for 27 years, carefully hiding her personal life from outsiders. This gave rise to many rumors about her husband, which she herself did not comment on. Only many years after the divorce, Elina Bystritskaya slightly opened the veil of secrecy over her personal life and confessed why she could not find her female happiness.
