Dmitry Nagiyev today does not need performances - he has long been one of the most successful and sought-after artists. But about his colleague, with whom they began the creative path together - Sergei Rost - in our days almost nothing is heard. But over the course of 10 years, their names were mentioned only in pairs, when both artists worked on the creation of the humorous TV show "Beware, modern!" Then they were not only colleagues, but also friends, but in 2004 they parted ways. Behind the scenes, they had no time for laughter. The beginning of the way

Sergey's real surname is Titivin. In his family, no one had anything to do with art - his parents were engineers, but from his youth he dreamed of becoming an artist, and even then he realized that his element was comedy. Sergei skillfully parodied his acquaintances and knew by heart all the monologues of Arkady Raikin. Therefore, his choice of a university did not surprise anyone: Titivin entered the Leningrad Theater Institute, however, the acting department had to be changed to directing - the teachers said that with such an appearance he could hardly become a star of the screen and stage.

Because of his appearance, Sergei was worried not only because of the comments of the teachers. Height 165 cm gave him a lot of problems at school, because he was shorter than most of his classmates. He compensated for this lack with physical strength, because in his youth he was engaged in Greco-Roman wrestling. The artist later said: "".

While studying at the institute, Titivin met Nagiyev, with whom they became friends. It was Dmitry who advised Sergei to take the pseudonym Rost and thus turn the old complex into his zest. Their views on life then coincided in many respects, and the main thing that united them was a sense of humor. Together they invented and acted out miniatures at skits, and then together they got a job at Radio Modern.

Joint brainchild

Together with other radio employees Andrei Balashov and Anna Parmas, friends in 1995 created a program that at first was called "Full Modern" and was shown on the "Regional Television" of St. Petersburg. The first 2 issues were released in the format of the presenters' dialogues before the music videos, and then the program was transformed into a humorous sketch show. All roles in it, both male and female, were played by Sergey Rost and Dmitry Nagiyev. In 1996, the project was renamed "Caution, modern!" and migrated to the STS TV channel. The show was very popular with viewers, its creators were awarded several television awards.

The project went on television for almost 10 years, and most viewers associated the names of Dmitry Nagiyev and Sergey Rost with this program. In parallel, the artists began to build their film careers. Nagiyev began acting in films in 1990 in small episodes, but in the lead roles they made their debut with Rost in the film Purgatory. The first resounding success for Nagiyev as a film actor came in 1999 after the role of Captain Lesnikov in the TV series "Kamenskaya". Sergei Rost also starred in serials, but he was not offered leading roles. The artist also performed in the theater and was the host of events, for which in 2000.was awarded the "Best Showman of the Year" award.

Careful, Nagiyev

Until 2004, they continued to work together, and it would seem that there were no disagreements between them. On New Year's Eve, they performed together in one of the Moscow clubs, and after the holidays, a stranger suddenly came to Rost, who passed away as Nagiyev's confidant, and on his behalf declared Dmitry's unwillingness to continue working with Sergei in the frame.

This decision of Nagiyev came as a complete surprise to him, and the most unpleasant thing was that he did not consider it necessary to tell his colleague about this personally and somehow explain his decision. Growth took this as a betrayal, because they were not only partners, but also friends for many years, and the program "Beware, modern!" was their joint brainchild, for which Rost wrote about 300 scripts. Nagiyev did not answer his calls, and soon a new humorous show appeared on the screens, in which he became the main character.

Spectator love is a fickle and changeable value. They quickly began to forget about Sergei Rost, and Dmitry Nagiyev's popularity grew every year. He became a successful TV presenter, showman and actor, in whose filmography there are already more than 90 roles. Almost not a single high-profile television project did without his participation. Over the years, they stopped asking him questions about his permanent partner, and about the program "Beware, modern!"

After that, Sergei Rost set off on an independent voyage. In 2005 he moved to Moscow, worked on television, hosted the programs "The Sixth Sense" and "Witness", participated as an actor in the projects "Thank God you came!" and "Petrosyan Show", acted in commercials and in films, was engaged in dubbing films. His acting career can hardly be called as successful as that of Nagiyev, nevertheless Rost played about 40 movie roles.

For many years, the artist remained an inveterate bachelor, and only after 45 years he was able to build a family. Once, in a company of friends, he met the journalist Olga, who was 20 years younger than him. The girl asked him for an interview, and this began their communication, which gradually grew into a romantic relationship. In 2011, their daughter was born.
