Mary Poppins, who took off on her umbrella, as soon as the wind changed, had a whole group of followers. Men and women, girls and boys with open umbrellas in their hands also fearlessly soar above the ground, and you can see them if you get inside the Prague office center EBC and raise your eyes to the ceiling.
People with multi-colored umbrellas were there not by chance. This is how the young Czech designer Michal Trpak decorated the hall of the office center in an unusual way, turning it into a kind of gallery to showcase his new art project: installations Slight Uncertainty … And he left it without any explanations, giving the audience the opportunity to draw their own conclusions about both the form and the content of the project.
Walking under the polyester figures of people floating above the ground, you can see how a motley crowd hovers in the air, clinging to brightly colored umbrellas. Here there are respectable men in business suits, young girls in summer dresses, and adult women in long skirts - and they all found themselves in the same position, despite their status and position in society. Which is not surprising: in the face of uncertainty, everyone is equal, because different people, finding themselves in what is called a "suspended state", equalize their positions until they again find solid ground under their feet. It is not known whether this story will have a continuation, because Slight Uncertainty is only part of the main installation, which can be found on the website of the Czech artist.
