It is in Russia that the members of the PUSSY RIOT group can be kept in a pre-trial detention center and tried for the fact that they staged an impromptu performance in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. But in Iceland, the leadership of the country's main cathedral itself invited the artist Marcos Zotes to create an amazing light installation with the title Rafmögnuð Náttúra.
Light installations are one of the most spectacular and beautiful types of contemporary art. Examples of this statement include the luminous Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, the Urban Flipper interactive pinball, or the 8-bit invader video installation.
A new similar work of art appeared this February in Reykjavik, on the facade of the Hallgrímskirkja Lutheran Church, one of the tallest structures in Iceland. A light installation called Rafmögnuð Náttúra was created by an artist from New York, Marcos Zotes.
The system of laser and LED projectors during the creation of the installation Rafmögnuð Náttúra was installed so that all the light from it fell exclusively on the facade of the building of the Hallgrimskirkja temple, forming amazing dynamic images on it, broadcast to a special musical sequence.
Most often it was music played from a computer, but on some days before the installation of Rafmögnuð Náttúra, local Icelandic bands performed live. And the "electronic mind" converted their audio into a light stream.
The delightful light installation Rafmögnuð Náttúra by Marcos Zotes was displayed on the façade of Hallgrimskirkja from 9 to 12 February 2012 as part of the Winter Festival of Light.

Such a term as dual faith appeared, with which the clergy fought for a long time. To "erase" the ancient Slavic traditions, church and St
Why Iceland has been shaking lately, and how it threatens Russia and the rest of the world
The picturesque Reykjanes Peninsula in southwestern Iceland has been relatively quiet for the past 800 years. But a little over a year ago, a local volcano awakened. The beginning did not bode well, but suddenly a dramatic denouement came. This culminated in more than 17,000 earthquakes in the past week alone. Such a seismic environment in Iceland could signal the beginning of a new period of increased geological activity, which could last 100 liters
