It was even difficult to choose a title for this article: too many interesting things came together in Botanical Gardens of New York on the days before the holidays. Here you will find a miniature model of the railway, and hand-made wonderful copies of the most iconic structures in the world, and the most amazing thing is that all this is made from plants of the same botanical garden!
V New York Botanical Gardens came up with a novelty: Holiday Train Show (Sunday Train Show). In this unusual exhibition, a small train travels between the outlandish plants of the botanical garden, and also between copies of the Empire State Building, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Notre Dame de Paris and other creations of the human architectural and engineering genius. But these copies are inaccurate. The fact is that they are also made from plants: the artist and decorator Paul Busse collects wood material in the surrounding forests and collects wooden masterpieces directly from botanical garden plants.
Here everything goes into action: magnolia leaves turn into roofs, acorns - into chimneys, reeds - into beams … The models have a high resemblance to the original, although the artist, according to him, sought to convey rather the spirit of the modeled masterpieces.
An exhibition with buildings made of plants, drowning in plants, will stand in the New York Botanical Garden until January 16.
