America is a huge country full of people of different nationalities and religions. Not so long ago, a photo exhibition dedicated to Muslims was held in New York, where photographs were presented that break all stereotypes about these people around whom negative and not the most flattering opinion often hovers. After all, people are often accustomed to following the lead of others, believing rumors and prejudices, forgetting that neither faith, nor skin color, nor traditions, nor worldview are the main criterion of humanity.
The Museum of the City of New York, led by a team of photographers, held an exhibition featuring black and white portraits of Muslims living in the United States from 1940 to the present day. Thus, the organizers of the event decided to show that a person is, first of all, a person in spite of everything and that any premature opinion is wrong.
“Muslim Beauty Contest” is a wonderful series of photographs. The pictures show charming girls, looking at whom you understand that spiritual beauty has neither nationality nor religion …
