He lived brightly, greedily, avidly. And he loved just as insatiably. He fell in love. He loved. He lived. And his life is love. Nina Shatskaya became the main love of Leonid Filatov. But their great happiness was preceded by a series of meetings, partings, deaf hopelessness and fervent hope. They had a complex, but very vivid biography of love.

First feelings

A talented and quite confident young man came to conquer the capital from distant Ashgabat. He knew that he wanted to be a director and was convinced that he would conquer the capital from the first word. But VGIK immediately rejected his talent, but the Shchukin school submitted to the young talent. True, not yet the directing, but the acting department.

It is here that he will meet his first love: the bright dark-eyed Natasha Varley. How he tried to get her attention. He courted, gave flowers, did not take his eyes off her. And time after time he was refused. Natasha sympathized with Leonid's persistence, but she could not do anything: she loved Kolya Burlyaev, a student of the same school.

When Nikolai proposed to his beloved, Leonid came to persuade her not to agree. He loves her so much! But Natalia treated her loyal admirer only as a friend. Her heart was long and firmly occupied.

First passion

After college, Leonid Filatov began to work at the Taganka Theater. Marvelous times when the spirit of co-creation, co-authorship and empathy reigned behind the scenes. Along with the beginning of his acting career, his writing career began in close collaboration with Valery Zalotukhin, Vladimir Vysotsky and Alla Demidova. And already in the early seventies, Filatov began acting in films, showing remarkable talent and amazing performance.

His first love story coincided with the beginning of his career. He was fascinated by the actress of the same theater, Lydia Savchenko. She was married, and he, who survived the failure with Natasha Varley, was not going to retreat this time.

He literally gave her no way. It seemed that he was everywhere: at rehearsals and after them, in the narrow corridors of the theater, near the dressing room, at the service exit. When Lydia's patience was already exhausted, she agreed to dine with him. She agreed only in order to finally tell this self-confident young man that she is married and his claims are simply inconceivably ridiculous and will not bring any result. And she left after this “farewell dinner” on bent legs. She disappeared, she fell in love with Filatov. And soon she left her husband and began to live separately. And at the same time she learned that her beloved Leonid was in love with Nina Shatskaya.

Fatal love

At first, Lydia did not believe the telephone well-wisher, and then began to notice that Lenya often disappears somewhere. She realized that he was moving away from her and decided to forget her lover. But Leonid was not going to give up his positions so easily. He again courted her, charmed, conquered. In the end, they signed. Everyday, without pathos and romantic wedding.

Did she know at that moment that her husband's heart was given to another. He was so convincing in his confessions! And he himself snatched short moments of meetings with Nina Shatskaya. She was married to Valery Zolotukhin, her son was born not so long ago, but she was so unhappy in her marriage. Her husband did not even try to hide his love victories, writing each in a diary. He was often drunk and made ugly scenes.

Leonidas, on the other hand, wrote passionate, gentle, touching letters. And short, passionate love notes. He affectionately called her his gray-eyed miracle. And he asked to wait a little. They will definitely be together.

Their secret romance lasted twelve long years. In him was the passion and happiness of getting to know each other. Leonidas and Nina were fully aware of the sinfulness of their love. They parted, but could not live without each other. They were drawn to each other, despite all the obstacles. And how toiled himself Filatov! He confided his feelings only on paper:

Love is stronger than death

But the moment came when it was no longer possible to live apart. In 1982, They began to live together, Leonid Filatov and his Muse, his gray-eyed happiness Nyuska, as he called her. Secret meetings, casual apartments, condemning views were left behind. Now they were both really happy.

It was with him that Nina Shatskaya learned what it means to be loved. He took upon himself all her sorrows and problems. Leonid from every business trip brought her new clothes with suitcases. And he also begged Deniska, her son. He treated him like his own child, was keenly interested in his successes, enthusiastically studied with him, sincerely loved.

It was incredible happiness, a huge, all-consuming feeling. When Leonid wrote, Nina was quietly sitting in the corner. But he needed the involvement of his beloved in creativity. And he asked her to match rhymes to words. It doesn't matter that they might not be useful to him. The main thing is that she was on the same wavelength with him.

Together with Nina, he will create his best works, will become the author and host of the program cycle "To Remember", will shoot his own film "Children of Bitch".

Leonid Filatov had popular love, many awards, recognition and still badly damaged health. For a long time, doctors could not give him the correct diagnosis.

In 1995, Leonid Filatov and Nina Shatskaya got married. They were crowned by their father Dionysius, the same Denis, the son of Nina. Under the influence of Leonid, Denis once entered the theatrical institute, but then realized that his vocation was different, he graduated from the theological seminary and became a priest. Later Denis will say that it was Lenya who was his real father.

The health condition of the great artist was getting worse. When he was in the hospital with a stroke, Leonid Yarmolnik arrived and took him to the Institute of Transplantology. It turned out that the main problem of Filatov is renal failure. There was an operation, a donor kidney transplant, a long recovery period and hope for a new life. Nearby was Nyuska, who encouraged, consoled, helped, spoon-fed. Loved.

The summer of 2003 was the last happy summer of their lives. They were together, they were happy. But the actor's forebodings frightened him and his Nina. He felt his imminent departure, he constantly asked how she would live without him. Bilateral pneumonia will claim the life of the great artist on October 26, 2003.

She still loves him. For her, he is alive, he is near, as long as her love and her memory of him are alive. She wrote their "Biography of Love" to be remembered … After all, love is stronger than death.
