The name of Valentina Serova has become the real property of Soviet cinema. The actress, whose name spread throughout the union after the release of the film "Hearts of Four", bore the name of her first husband, the famous pilot Anatoly Serov, who died in the exercises before the birth of their son. And later she married the writer Konstantin Simonov. It was to her that the soldier dedicated the most touching poem of the war years - "Wait for me".
In the filmography of the actress there are 11 tapes, but this did not prevent her from becoming one of the most successful Soviet film stars. Stalin praised the film "A Girl with Character" - Serova's debut. And this meant that she was given the green light in her career. True, many of Serova's dreams and plans never came true, alcohol ruined her. Literally burnt out from constant drinking, she passed away at the age of 57. In a marriage with Anatoly Serov, a son was born, named after his father. However, the relationship between Anatoly Jr. and Valentina did not work out: Konstantin Simonov was adamant in his decision to send the boy to an orphanage, in adulthood Anatoly, like his mother, abused alcohol, was often cruel to her, died at 35 very young. In a marriage with Konstantin Simonov, Valentina gave birth to a daughter, Masha. The girl also did not live with her parents for many years: after the divorce, Valentina Serova's mother took her to foster care.
The break in relations with Konstantin Simonov shook the life of Valentina Serova. Before that, she successfully starred in films and played in the theater, but here there were practically no roles, the family was destroyed, and the actress became addicted to alcoholic beverages out of grief. There were cases when I attended rehearsals while intoxicated, and somehow did not come to the performance at all. For this she received a public reprimand, and it became clear: her career was over.
The end of Serova's life was tragic: few people remembered her, and she herself had already completely changed. Not a trace of its former beauty remained, the body, exhausted by alcohol, gradually gave up.
Another actress who shone in the film "Hearts of Four" - Lyudmila Tselikovskaya … Her fate was also very dramatic, and the path to fame was thorny.
