As a teenager, Polina attended acting courses and participated in school performances, but her parents were categorically against her admission to a theater university - they considered the acting profession frivolous. Therefore, she entered the Faculty of Sociology, and at the same time was engaged in her favorite hobby - filming a video blog. Once a photographer came to their theater studio to take some pictures of the filing cabinet of the film studio, and soon Polina was invited to audition for the series "Fizruk". To her incredible surprise, Polina Grents got the lead role.

Polina claims that Dmitry Nagiyev played a decisive role in her fate - allegedly it was thanks to him that she became an actress, because of all the applicants for the role of Sasha Mamaeva, he chose her, because of her natural modesty, naturalness, naivety and simplicity of the girl. She really had a lot in common with her heroine, although she herself considers herself much more open and sociable. And thanks to the fact that she kept a video blog, Polina felt confident in front of the camera. For this role, she gained 15 kg, but did not consider it a big sacrifice.

Anastasia Panina, who played the main role in the series - the teacher of the Russian language and literature Tatyana Alexandrovna, with whom the hero of Dmitry Nagiyev was in love, did not immediately come to the acting profession. As a child, she went in for sports and received the title of candidate for master of sports in rhythmic gymnastics. Later, she said that this hobby developed in her capacity for work and dedication, which allowed her to achieve her goals.

Panina became an actress thanks to a fluke: once one of her friends saw an advertisement for a casting in the TV series "Poor Nastya" and invited the girl to try her hand. Out of thousands of applicants, 30 people were selected, who were given the opportunity to take three-month courses in acting. Anastasia was among them. Classes were conducted by teachers of the Moscow Art Theater School. They noticed creativity in Panina and recommended her to enter a theater university. She passed the entrance tests successfully, and refused to shoot in "Poor Nastya" for the sake of studying.
