Gianni Versace

It's been 22 years since the tragic death of the Italian fashion designer, who was shot and killed on the steps of his Miami home in July 1997. He was one of the most influential and successful designers, he dressed many world stars, and his name was a symbol of true Italian chic.

The fatal shot was fired by the mentally unstable Andrew Kyunanen. If the killer had been neutralized earlier, the fashion designer could have survived: before shooting Gianni Versace, the 27-year-old American managed to shoot several people. During the arrest, the offender was killed.

On the basis of a note found at Kyunanen's, the investigation concluded that the massacre was of personal motivation. Andrew allegedly was in connection with Versace, and after parting decided to take revenge on him. True, in the late 1990s, many did not believe that Andrew Kyunanen acted alone. There were speculations about the contractual nature of the murder, the reasons for which could be both a refusal to cooperate with the Italian mafia, and the desire of the designer's relatives to take a successful business.

Maurizio Gucci

The heir to the Gucci empire was shot to death on the steps in front of his own study in his office. At first, the investigation took the wrong path and tried to consider the murder as an order of the mafia. When the inconsistency of this version became apparent, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci, Patricia Reggiani, came to the attention of the police.

The couple broke up a few years before the tragedy, but Patricia could not come to terms with her husband's betrayal and certainly was not going to sit idly by when her husband was going to marry another and deprive her and her children of the inheritance. Patricia Reggiani was the organizer of the crime and paid for the murder of her husband. She was detained two years after the tragedy, in 2016 she was released.

Nicolas and Francesco Trussardi

Nicola Trussardi, who inherited a glove company from his uncle Dante, managed to turn it into a fashion empire that began to produce clothes, accessories and perfumes. But his dream was to create a whole "Fashion Valley". Unfortunately, his plans were not destined to come true: the businessman crashed in his car in 1999, losing control.

The son of Nicola Francesco Trussardi, who headed the fashion house after his father's death, strengthened the company's position in the world market, achieving profit growth and widespread distribution of the brand throughout the world. However, just four years after the tragic death of Nicola Trussardi, his son lost control of the car on the way home and died in an accident.

Alexander McQueen

The British couturier has long suffered from depression caused by the death of his longtime girlfriend Isabella Blow. On February 2, 2010, Alexander McQueen's mother died, and a week later the designer himself was found hanged in his apartment. As the investigation found out, McQueen decided to voluntarily commit suicide and even left a suicide note, the contents of which, for some reason, were not disclosed.

Ossie Clarke

The English fashion designer was a very significant figure in the fashion world of the 1960s and 1970s. He influenced other designers, including Yves Saint Laurent, and created incredible clothing collections. Thanks to Ossie Clarke, short motorcycle jackets and jackets, elongated dresses and coats came into fashion. On August 6, 1996, Ossie Clark in his own apartment stabbed 37 Diego Cogolato, who was in close relationship with the fashion designer. The court qualified the murder as involuntary and sentenced Kogolato to 6 years in prison.
