Looking at pictures Sebastien Lebrigand I just want to exclaim, as in a popular advertisement: "No, sonny, this is fantastic!" However, there is nothing fantastic in these pictures: believe me, this is not a photo manipulation or an optical illusion - the planes are indeed captured at the moment when they fly past the Moon and the Sun.

The idea to photograph the "lunar and solar flights" came from Sebastian Lebrigand when he once again gazed at the stars in the courtyard of his home in the town of Crépy-en-Valois in France. Of course, it is impossible to notice the plane with the naked eye at such a distance, unless a tiny black dot will catch your attention for a second. However, the resourceful photographer figured out how to implement his project: he attached a special astronomical telescope to the lens of his camera - and voila!

Most of the pictures were taken at night, because looking at the moon is much easier than looking at the blinding sun in the daytime. Although Sebastian Lebrigand was very persistent: he managed to make a couple of wonderful shots even during the day.

The author of the photo project himself admits that the main problem was the lack of time to think: the plane flies past the sun in a quarter of a second, so there is no way to choose a good angle or even just collect thoughts. I had to click a couple of times almost at random. But the result surpassed the wildest expectations: the photos look very realistic, so that it even seems as if the flights of Airberlin and Condor are really heading to the Earth's satellite and a red-hot star named the Sun. Well, Sebastian Lebrigand gave us another opportunity to dream about space travel, who knows, maybe over time, such flights will become a reality.
