It took Nikolai Aldunin, a microminiature master, a month to adorn the fleas' tiny legs with four golden horseshoes, the width of each horseshoe is 40 microns, the length is 50 (1 millimeter is 1000 microns), and a golden saddle proudly "sat" on the back.
Nikolai Aldunin in the past worked as a locksmith and turner in the Tula region and learned all the secrets of metalworking. It was working at the foundry that the master became interested in microminiature, deciding to shoe a real flea and prove that it was not in vain that Nikolai Leskov glorified the Tula craftsmen in Levsha.
In truth, the creation of microminiatures is a painstaking and requiring no small effort, but the author of mini-masterpieces himself believes that a person's achievement of goals in life depends on desire: the higher the goal, the greater the desire should be. In addition to a shod and saddled flea, Nikolai Aldunin created many other unique microminiatures made of pure gold, which can be viewed exclusively under a microscope.
