Having the appearance of a fallen alien spaceship, this fantastic sculpture consists of a huge number of pipes, making strange, one might even say, frightening sounds when the wind blows.
The Singing Ringing Tree is a musical sculpture that resembles a tree, which consists of numerous pipes of different sizes and comes to life when the wind blows. This miracle is located almost on the windy hill of the Pennine Mountains in Lancashire, in the northwest of Great Britain. The 3m high galvanized steel structure was designed by architects Mike Tonkin and Anna Liu and erected on the hill in 2006.
In 2007, the sculpture won (among 13 other nominations) the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) National Award for Architectural Excellence.
The wind passes through the pipes-branches of the mythical tree, at the ends of which special holes are made. Due to the fact that the direction of the wind changes all the time and passes through different layers of pipes, the installation constantly emits new sounds - sometimes a mystical whistle, sometimes a discordant and shrill sound, sometimes quiet harmonious choral singing covering several octaves, and sometimes soft and iridescent chime. It all depends on the strength and direction of the air masses.
The creation of such an art project took about 60 thousand pounds and 350 pipes of various sizes made of galvanized steel, which emit a variety of melodies. After the installation of this sculpture, a special tuning of its sound was carried out so that it was in harmony with the sounds of the surrounding nature.

The tree of hope: a Christmas tree with 7 thousand paper cranes
Every December, hundreds of paper cranes flock to San Francisco to decorate the world's most hopeful tree. Origami figurines perform not only a decorative function - good wishes are written on each of them. Paper birds for the Christmas tree are signed and celebrities. Among people who believe that the crane is better on the spruce, h

Ball tree, dandelion tree. Unusual landscapes by Vu Cong Dien
As much as one would like autumn, winter is taking over the reins of government more and more tightly, depriving trees of their beautiful yellow-orange suits, and forcing people to wrap themselves deeper in scarves and coat collars. And we got used to it for a long time. Everyone except the Vietnamese artist Vu Cong Dien: his seasons are similar to each other, and only the color combinations chosen by the author for a particular painting suggest whether it is winter, spring or summer. And the trees are invariably fluffy, like dandelions or airy
